Safeguarding

All staff at Gunness and Burringham Primary School have a duty of care to keep children safe. Staff receive regular training with a focus on protecting children and understand the signs of abuse.
All staff have recently engaged in Mental Health and Wellbeing Training, this is a huge priority at our school and staff are well equipped to signpost children and support both families and children in the most appropriate way.
There will be a Designated Safeguarding Lead on the school site at all times and they will take charge in the event of a safeguarding concern.

Mrs Luan Sowerby
Designated Safeguarding Lead

Miss Megan Harrison
Deputy Safeguarding Lead

We work closely in partnership with the Children’s Multi – Agency and Safeguarding board to ensure that we seek assurance in the safeguarding procedures of all children.
If you have any concerns or need support during the school holidays, please email Mrs Sowerby lsowerby@gandbprimary.co.uk. She regularly checks her email and will contact you directly.
